The 2017 Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Society of Social Science and Information was held in our school[2017-11-13]

On November 9, 2017, the 2017 academic annual meeting of the Chinese Society of Social Science and Information, with the theme of "seriously studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Party to welcome the development of social science and information science," was held at the International Convention Center of Nanjing University. More than 130 experts, scholars, and members of the society from the National Academy of Social Sciences system, college system, party school system, military system, and public library system engaged in the research. This annual meeting is sponsored by the Chinese Society of Social Science and Information, the Library of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and jointly organized by Nanjing University and Nanjing Agricultural University.

Assistant Dean of Nanjing University, Fanconglai Zhangdawei, Deputy Director of the Library of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Society for Social Science and Information, and Huangchangzhu, Member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, delivered the opening speech for the conference. The opening ceremony was presided over by Jiangying, executive vice chairman and secretary-general of the Chinese Society of Social Science and Information, and deputy director of the library of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

The meeting included nine expert reports, made by Dean of the School of Information Management of Nanjing University, Sunjianjun Fangqing, Dean of the School of Information Management of Wuhan University, Liguangjian, Director of the Department of Information Management of Peking University and other experts. The experts shared their new views and new ideas with the participants on subjects such as discipline construction and development, practical application and services. Their insights were unique, witty, and the scene was full of seats and applause. The General Assembly also set up two sub-forums for leading edge and hot spots in library intelligence science and excellent paper reports for this year's annual meeting. Twelve outstanding scholars and award-winning paper representatives exchanged their research results and experiences. The participants discussed the hot and interactive nature of the meeting.

The meeting also announced the results of the 2017 academic essay review of the Chinese Society of Social Science Intelligence. Huangchangzhu and other experts of the Society presented awards to the award-winning delegates.
